Reporting to the Marketing and Brand Manager, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for the development and promotion of engaging content and communications through internal and external channels, ensuring Maxima is placed as a national thought leader in the industries in which we operate.
Some of the key tasks and responsibilities: Provide short-format storytelling for social media and digital platforms and work closely with graphic designers to maintain brand consistency.Promote the activities of the organisation through the development of engaging communications distributed through internal and external channels.Create and deliver compelling content to drive the Maxima message, including social media content, owned channels and press releases.Research and write case studies and stories which profile Maxima's wide-reaching impact.Produce short format video of internal and external stakeholders for social media and internal communications.Update and monitor website content, create copy for brochures and flyers.Support internal communications including newsletters, updates and scheduled communications to promote an inclusive internal culture.Support the Brand and Marketing Manager to implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with our brand values, across both internal and external communications.Collaborate with key stakeholders, marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure alignment with our overall business objectives.Monitor media coverage and assist with public relations activities to drive the Maxima voice in the industries we operate. Create press releases, assist with media events, and respond to media enquiries.To be successful in this role, you will have: A journalist mindset and a strong focus on storytelling, you will thrive on developing new ideas and making suggestions, whilst being considerate and appreciative of others contributions. You have experience in managing internal production, and producing high quality communications outputs. NFP or industry experience is preferred.
The Senior Communications Officer will also need: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAn adaptive communication style, able to resonate with varying audiencesAbility to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholdersYou will also need:
