Temporary full-time role up to June 2025, with possibility of extension Based in Northern Rivers with flexible work arrangement options Clerk Grade 9/10, ($120,859 – $133,183) plus super and annual leave loading About the Agency The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster. To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders. About the role The Senior Communications & Engagement Officer develops, coordinates and distributes communications and stakeholder engagement content across a variety of formats and channels to support the delivery of key projects. The role also designs and delivers engagement with stakeholders and community. You will be responsible for the communication and engagement of strategic initiatives as part of the communication and engagement team for the Northern Rivers. As the successful Senior Communications & Engagement Officer, you will:  Project manage communications and engagement initiatives including developing logistics, budgets, resource and project plans. Provide leadership on strategic communication and engagement for project initiatives. Design and deliver appropriate communications and engagement methods and techniques for a range of stakeholders and communities across the Northern Rivers. Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to, the identification and development of communication and engagement solutions and materials. Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications and briefs, that are informative and aligned with agency requirements, to respond to Agency and/or Government requests. About you High calibre candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, engagement, public relations or journalism or relevant/demonstrated equivalent experience in project managing communications and engagement content delivery across a variety of channels in a complex multifaceted politically and media sensitive environment. You will be self-directed and motivated, can work collaboratively and positively with others as well as the ability to think strategically while also having very good attention to detail. The successful candidate is required to have capacity to travel to outer suburban and regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends.
