(Organisation site ( http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/ ) )Metropolitan Region; Program Delivery & Operations; Infrastructure Management and Delivery; Brisbane CBDThe purpose of the Senior Communications Advisor is to coordinate with regional communication staff in a variety of internal and external communication activities, with a focus on using risk assessment and judgement to evaluate and inform the communications approach and processes appropriately, with a focus on infrastructure projects.You would be required to work with stakeholders using your skills in writing, researching, content development across a wide variety of communication channels.Responsibilities

Liaise with and develop strong, positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including ministerial and departmental staff, representatives of government, community and non-government organisations, as well as key staff across Transport and Main Roads.Develop and implement communication strategies for high-risk infrastructure projects, including researching and writing communication materials such as media releases, correspondence, briefings, newsletters, display materials and speech notes for projects.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the region's projects and activities to proactively identify trends and risks in communication issues that may affect the region.Initiate and build effective relationships and networks with internal and external key stakeholders including other government agencies, professional associations, industry, stakeholders, community and internal and external clients.Provide strategic communication advice, recommendations and options on issues management and executive correspondence to improve relationships with key stakeholders and the community.Applications will remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/608591/24Closing Date: Tuesday, 28 January 2025Further information
