Working as part of a multidisciplined team, and reporting to the Manager - Communication, the Senior Communication Officer - Media will play a pivotal role in delivering IBAC's media function and producing high-quality communication advice and services/products.
Duties include: Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of effective communications to support work such as the quarterly newsletter, proactive/reactive media responses, investigative reports, engagement activities, public hearings and a broad range of other activities.Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure the delivery of clear, concise and accessible communication services and products.Identify proactive communication and media plans to promote IBAC's role to build a corruption-resistant Victoria.Provide internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, with sound, relevant, accurate and timely advice on communication issues and media relations.Manage the design and delivery of communication strategies and associated support materials utilising a well-developed understanding of strategic communications.Influence negotiations with external suppliers of major services such as media monitoring.Additional duties are set out in the position description.

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities: A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline is essential.Demonstrated ability to write content for high quality communication materials.Demonstrated work experience in communications, marketing, media or related field.Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
