About Our Client The department oversees legal matters, upholds the law, and provides legal advice and support to the government. It plays a crucial role in ensuring justice, protecting citizens' rights, and maintaining the integrity of the legal system. Job Description Support the strategic direction: Develop and deliver day-to-day operations of communication and media functions Contribute to business planning strategies of the Communication Unit Develop, implement, and evaluate communication campaigns: Ensure readability, accuracy, and compliance with guidelines and protocols Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery Participate in multi-disciplinary team: Provide various communication and media services Research, write, edit, and review publications, media releases, speeches, interviews, presentations, events, and news articles Provide high-level communication advice: Offer guidance to senior management, senior staff, and business areas Undertake ad-hoc projects: Deliver and promote initiatives as needed Establish and maintain effective relationships: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including graphic designers and external suppliers, to meet strategic objectives The Successful Applicant The successful candidate for the role of Senior Communication Officer should possess: Strong strategic thinking abilities to support the department's overarching goals and contribute to long-term planning strategies. Exceptional communication skills, including proficient writing, editing, and presentation skills, to effectively convey messages across various mediums. Proven experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating communication campaigns with a focus on readability, accuracy, and compliance with guidelines. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing diverse communication and media services and engaging in research and content creation. Demonstrated capability to provide high-level communication advice to senior management and business areas, showing an understanding of organisational objectives and priorities. Flexibility and adaptability to undertake ad-hoc projects as required, showcasing initiative and resourcefulness in promoting departmental initiatives. Strong relationship-building skills to establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment with strategic objectives.
