The opportunity
We are on the lookout for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team, based in Richmond. The purpose of the role is to support the Wholesale business to achieve targets and drive performance. Contributing commercial and financial insights and solutions to support business planning, decision making and the execution to lift operational and financial performance. You'll help provide the financial information and analytical insights which the business requires to operate effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.

To achieve this, you:

Review cost, margin & profitability benchmarks with the GMs. Build budgets including the review & modifying of budget templates, and building and reviewing forecasts. Provide budget holders with up to date and timely tracking of sales, capex and expenses. Manage each P&L and relevant balance sheet items. Prepare data to show variations to the budgets/forecast in sales, margin and expenses and provide commentary on variances for the reports. Financial reporting (month/year end) and analyzing month end numbers by store and by brand. Assist with quarterly forecasting process. Conduct feasibility analysis, to provide accurate and timely insights that drive informed decision making. Determine and recommend options or opportunities that drive efficiency, increased sales, cost savings or margin enhancement. Development of formal business cases as required. Provide visibility to divisional, channel and category performance provide insight to maximise sales performance, profitability and identify opportunities. Continuous improvement of suite of regular reports as well as efficiencies with data gathering and systems integration. Preparation of regular retail reports detailing store performance KPIs including sales, margins, wages and bonuses. Assist with royalty calculations for licensed brands. The skills and experience you offer us Previous experience in a management accountant or analytical capacity, within a multi branded retailer or similar fast paced environment. Degree in Business, CA or CPA qualified (or other Financially oriented discipline) is preferable. Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, V-look ups and Charts). Experience using business intelligence software and tools. AP21 experience would be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to influence at levels of the business.
