Senior Commercial AnalystJoin Our Team as a Senior Commercial Analyst! We are looking for a skilled Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Business Performance and Analytics team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting the Palletised Express (PE) and Intermodal & Specialised Courier (I&S) business units by delivering insightful revenue and volume reporting, in-depth performance analysis, and driving initiatives to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: Revenue & Volume Reporting: Deliver timely, accurate, and consistent commentary and analysis on weekly and monthly revenue and volume performance for PE and I&S.Strategic Planning: Own the annual budget setting and quarterly reforecast of revenue and volume, providing valuable insights to senior finance and sales leaders.Leadership: Manage and coach one resource to ensure accurate Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) calculations, revenue categorization reporting, and process improvements to reduce manual work.Analysis & Insights: Provide commercial analysis and insights to drive decision-making for business unit leaders, including GM Finance and GM Sales.Data Management: Maintain existing Power BI reports and contribute to the development of automated revenue reporting tools.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure billing accuracy, facilitate customer issue resolution, and contribute to tenders and RFPs.Reporting: Prepare high-quality business reports and presentations for senior management discussions, including customer deep dives and Monthly Business Reviews.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.Expertise and Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Economics, Accounting, or Business, along with a CPA/CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.Minimum 7 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, using advanced techniques like driver-based approaches.Advanced Excel modeling skills, including pivot tables, sensitivity analysis, and handling large datasets. Experience with SQL, TM1, and Power BI is advantageous.A strong ability to analyze trends, forecast impacts, and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.Proven expertise in identifying and implementing process improvements and embedding them into workflows.Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.If you're passionate about delivering actionable insights, improving business processes, and driving performance in a dynamic and collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
