We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Commercial Advisor to join our team and work on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland history.
The Senior Commercial Advisor provides technical contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within the allocated projects, reporting to a Commercial Manager (and may have an informal reporting line to a related Project Manager).
Role however not limited to: Administration of downstream Supply/SubcontractsContractual negotiations and dispute resolution support by providing detailed data to support claims to assist the Commercial Manager with upstream claimsUnderstand and comply with project Contract Manuals, and champion change management processes and tools within, including contract variation claims, extensions of time and design change impactsProviding summaries, reports and updates to the Leadership and Executive Leadership Team as requiredMaintain and manage the project change management process, ensuring any changes to the project scope baseline is captured, documented, analysed, agreed, and claimed where necessaryContribute to the strategic direction for the project in line with the Downer Rail strategy, with appropriate contributionsSkills & Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in a related field - Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Commerce, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent5+ years managing the delivery of contracts and/or projects within built form, rail, services or manufacturing environment, with a focus on commercial/contractual management.Demonstrated project experience directly related to the role across hard dollar and collaborative contract frameworks.Preferably has experience working in the Construction and Rail industry;Excellent understanding of typical provisions found in construction and commercial contractsExtensive contract management skills, with proven ability to manage and negotiate within a complex environment.What We Offer: Career progression and development opportunitiesA workplace focused on Zero Harm; safety is at the core of everything we doFlexible working arrangements to encourage work/life balanceCompetitive remunerationIf this sounds like your next exciting role with an ASX listed organisation, then we would love to hear from you!
