We're committed to continually building a safe and respectful workplace, where all our people feel appreciated and accepted and achieve their full potential.Position OverviewWe're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Coastal Engineer to provide leadership and planning for the delivery of projects relating to the implementation of the City's Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plans (CHRMAPs).Key ResponsibilitiesManage complex projects related to the safe and sustainable design, operation, maintenance and management of coastal and marine infrastructure.To be successful in this role you will have:Bachelor's degree in Coastal Engineering or equivalentEligibility for membership of Engineers AustraliaMinimum of 5 years' experience in coastal engineering and/or coastal and waterways managementExtensive experience in formulating, designing and implementing coastal engineering investigations, feasibility studies, and worksExperience in using computerised asset management, and related business systemsExperience in CAD and GIS software such as AutoCad, QGIS or similar softwareExperience with CHRMAP development and implementationHigh level experience in design, construction and maintenance of coastal and marine engineering and infrastructure and associated Australian Standards.Proven capacity to plan and manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities in a team environmentProven experience in developing coastal monitoring programs to understand coastal processes and manage the coastal zoneProven skills in developing coastal and marine infrastructure capital works programs, project development and cost estimation, and project managementExcellent communication skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, give presentations and prepare grant funding submissionsHold a current unrestricted C class national driver's licence (essential)Recreational Skippers TicketAs part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.The finer detailsThis fulltime Level 9 position attracts a salary range of $125,891 - $134,254 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
