Informatech are a Federal Government focused ICT consultancy with over 200 staff, specialising in Testing, Infrastructure, Project Delivery and Security.
On the back of an excellent financial year where we have grown into new markets and customers, we recently achieved number 22 on the Australian Financial Reviews Fast 100 List and the growth is continuing in the new year.
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our business and lead the design and development of a Federal Government Departments cloud capability, including establishing cloud governance to support the organisation's cloud initiatives.
This role can be considered as either a long-term contract or permanent engagement, dependant on your preference.
Key Responsibilities:Lead a small team to establish and design the foundations of the Departments cloud capability.Establishing the departments cloud hosting platform with consideration for future consolidation of existing cloud instances.Establishing cloud management capabilities within the platform (including financial, identity and access management, security, monitoring).Establishing required multi-cloud orchestration and interoperability and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services with existing on-premises infrastructure.Key Requirements:Expertise in Microsoft Azure and integration with other cloud and on-premises solutions.Knowledge of cloud architecture frameworks and experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.Familiarity with microservices, containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security principles.Understanding compliance standards (e.g., Australian Privacy Act, ASD ISM) and applying them in cloud environments.Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.Knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers) and hybrid cloud connectivity.Experience in governance, policy management, and cloud cost optimisation.Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies for cloud project delivery.Ability to lead cloud initiatives, manage vendors, and engage stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business objectives.If you are interested, then we encourage you to apply!
