The Physiotherapy team has over 100EFT across these 3 locations, working in a variety of clinical streams, providing high quality clinical service to the hospital network including a variety of statewide services.

The Role An exciting opportunity exists to join our Physiotherapy department as the Senior Clinician Physiotherapist – Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH). In this role you will support the development of a national multi-disciplinary program for the assessment and support of patients with CTEPH who are undergoing pulmonary endarterectomy. The position will provide leadership and specialist physiotherapy service to inpatients and outpatients under the CTEPH service, including optimising pre and post-operative rehabilitation.
The position works closely with the service leads (medical and surgical) of the CTEPH service to provide a responsive service with excellent outcomes by international benchmarking standards.
As a senior member of the Respiratory Physiotherapy stream at Alfred Health, you will also contribute to the overall respiratory service and support supervision, education, and professional development of other staff and undergraduate students. It is an expectation that this position plays a key role in related research and quality improvement activities, as well as providing leadership support to the Respiratory stream leader.
Skills & Experience The successful candidate will demonstrate specialist Physiotherapy knowledge and skills related to the management of respiratory patient cohorts. They will demonstrate leadership capabilities including excellent time management, high level communication skills and an ability to foster teamwork and resilience. You will receive support from the Respiratory Physiotherapy stream leader and Physiotherapy management team. There is support from the department for ongoing professional development and research activities.
