Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced RPN4 Senior Clinician to join the Ward 23 Mental Health team as a MHICAR clinician
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
The MHICAR Senior clinician role is a vital part of our ICA planning for the entire unit.
The MHICAR clinician will work with all high-risk consumers by coordinating management plans, mentoring staff working within ICA, supporting legal documentation and working on projects being undertaken by the unit.
They will work very closely with the Clinical Nurse Consultant and will report directly within the senior nursing team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience and good working knowledge of all aspects of the inpatient unit, including risk management and safety planning, extensive and well-established assessment skills, capacity to be autonomous within a role, being independently driven to complete tasks and having fantastic communication skills Proven ability to develop plans for consumers and being able to mentor staff in them being used in the intensive care area Demonstrated high level communication and rapport building Well-developed and clear understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act
