Excellent employee benefits including salary packaging Hub of medical precinct in Parkville, Melbourne Work for Australia's leading Children's Hospital About the Role: This is a Fixed Term Full Time Positon to cover Long Service Leave for approximately 12 months, at 80 hours per fortnight within the Gatehouse Centre. You will be responsible for providing advanced practice therapeutic support and interventions, within a trauma model of recovery for children and young people who have experienced sexual violence or have engaged in harmful or problematic sexual behaviour, and who are at risk of child sexual exploitation. This will include leading a project to tackle child sexual exploitation through partnerships with relevant stakeholders in the community such as specific child protection teams and residential care services. You will also support the access team to respond to more complex requests and inquiries for services and requires you to participate in the on-call crisis care roster. Classification for this position will range from Psychologist Grade 3, Year 1 to Year 4 (PL1 – PL4), Social Worker Grade 3, Year 1 to Year 4 (SC31 – SC34), Occupational Therapist Grade 3 Year 1 to Year 4 (VG3 – VG6) or, Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 Year 1 to Year 3 (NP75 – NP77). What you'll achieve: Provision of advanced practice, evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions to children and young people from a trauma focused model of recovery who have experienced or are at risk of child sexual explotation. Development of a clear, focused strategy to address child sexual explotation and implementation of this strategy.  Meaningful contribution to innovative practice by leading and participating in quality improvement projects and service evaluations. Your skills and experience: Recognised qualification in relevant discipline and current registration with relevant AHPRA Board and/or eligibility for membership with professional body Experience in developing external stakeholder relationships and parterships to drive practice change Ability to provide advanced practice support, risk assessment and therapeutic service to children and young people. About Gatehouse Centre: Gatehouse Centre is a Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA) - a specialist sexual assault service, based at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH). The Gatehouse Centre provides therapeutic interventions and support for Children and young people aged 0-17 and their non-offending family member and carers living in the Brimbank Melton or Western Melbourne areas (Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Melbourne Hobsons Bay and Wyndham LGAs) or who are inpatients at the RCH. Services are provided at the Centre's community-based services in Melton, Werribee as well as at the RCH.
