The Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer is seeking a Senior Clinical Support Officer MultiD to work within an interdisciplinary team of clinical informaticians to support current and future Queensland Health facilities utilising the ieMR and other enterprise digital applications.
The successful candidate will support prioritisation of operational, enhancement, and clinical demand for digital healthcare change, including workload allocation and assistance with queue management activities.
Role responsibilities: Human resource activities including supporting orientation and performance development. Comply with legislation and utilise procedures, policies, regulations, and standards that impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies. All staff are responsible for identifying, managing, and reporting risks relating to their work. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrated specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in one or more clinical informatics specialities. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards relating to clinical informatics and use of digital hospital systems. Experience in problem-solving and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics. Demonstrated evidence and judgement in advising and influencing senior management and other stakeholders in relation to Queensland Health's digital agenda. Ability to support quality service improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes within digital Hospital and Health Services. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and ability to negotiate change. Proven high-level oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain effective relationships within both the OCCIO team and with external stakeholders. Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registration/Other Requirements Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification in an eligible Health Practitioner discipline and, where applicable, registration or eligibility for membership of the relevant registration authority or professional association. Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification (i.e. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree) or evidence of enrolment in such a program is highly desirable. Whilst not mandatory, the following would be highly regarded: Previous experience working in senior health practitioner position/s. Previous experience working in clinical informatics teams. Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification (i.e. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree) or evidence of enrolment in such a program.
