Position Profile: We are seeking experienced, passionate and friendly persons to join our Kids Rehab WA team.
As a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will provide a specialist clinical neuropsychological service requiring a high level of knowledge, experience and competence within a multidisciplinary and professional team context.
Providing specialist consultation, education, and supervision, on complex neurological/mental health/psychological and neuropsychological disorders to the paediatric rehabilitation team at Perth Children's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities Provide a clinical neuropsychological assessment and intervention service requiring a high level of knowledge, experience and competence with complex neurological/mental health/psychological and neuropsychological disorders in children and adolescents.Provide a high level of clinical expertise at both systems and individual level relating to complex neurological/mental health/psychological and neuropsychological disorders.Provide education and training on neuropsychological matters to families, the paediatric rehabilitation teams, and other government and non-government agencies and schools.Supervise neuropsychology trainees and neuropsychology registrars.Develop new treatment protocols or assessment procedures relating to cognitive deficits, psychosocial co-morbidities of acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and other complex medical and surgical conditions being managed in the paediatric rehabilitation department.Provide leadership to the paediatric rehabilitation department by initiating and developing service improvement activities and contributing to research.The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people.
CAHS is made up of four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
Eligibility: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
