The goal is to further advance Aon's standing as the market-leader in the open-market Professional & Financial Lines Insurance space.This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Aon Melbourne offices.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeYou will be responsible for:Open market financial lines broking for a portfolio of complex mid-market placementsManaging your own book of financial institutions and professions financial lines accountsAssisting the National team with advice regarding their clients' insurance programs and placing their financial lines coversPro-active business development and portfolio growthNegotiating with underwriters to ensure the correct insurance program is in place to protect Aon's clientsManaging key stakeholder relationships and enhancing the client experienceDeveloping strong insurer contacts to deliver the best open market broking outcomes for your clientsParticipation in industry events to raise awareness of Aon's brand and capabilities in the Financial Lines space.How this opportunity is differentThe team has been achieving strong growth and this is an opportunity for someone to run their own client book whilst being mentored and developed by experienced senior brokers.Your dedication and high level of commitment will be what earns you the respect of the team; in return you will learn from an experienced group of individuals nationally and an outstanding mentor who will ensure you have a long and successful career within Aon.Skills and experience that will lead to successA sound understanding of Financial Lines insurance productsKnowledge of professional liabilities is preferredTier 1 or Diploma insurance broking qualification, or the ability to complete it rapidly, would be expectedExcellent written and oral communication skills, with the highest standard of presentationConfidence in working with clients of all sizes and the ability to pro-actively seek portfolio growthProven experience working in a high standard professional environmentStrong attention to detailInnovative problem-solving skills.How we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
