About the role The Senior Client Applications Engineer is responsible for supporting and implementing the tools and processes to package, deploy and secure end user applications across a large and geographically dispersed organisation. The position works closely with internal and external stakeholders to support end to end application lifecycle services that comply with TAFE NSW's cyber security strategic approach and policies. The position works broadly and collaboratively with security engineers and other specialists and has an afterhours on-call requirement to meet business needs.
We have 1 x permanent position with hybrid and flexible work arrangements and negotiable location within NSW (Subject to campus availability).
About You As a Senior Client Applications Engineer, you will have advanced scripting, automation and software deployment experience using Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Jamf Pro. You have worked in large and complex IT infrastructure and have experience successfully deploying various technologies across the business.
You will have considerable experience in end user application packaging and deployment with specialist technical capabilities relevant to a large, complex organisation. You will also have demonstrated experience applying information security and/or cyber security principles and concepts and ability to work on-call afterhours to meet operational requirements.
You enjoy working with others and ensure adequate support is provided throughout the project lifecycle. You place the customer at the centre of the decision making process and ensure industry trends, software developments and innovative technologies are considered.
You have attention to detail, excellent communication skills and are analytical. You take initiative in problem resolutions and enjoy collaborating with your team to ensure seamless delivery of service.
Highly Regarded Ability to maintain a secure and consistent end user environment through the use of relevant tools, group policies, and scripting languages for Windows and Mac operating systems. Experience automating the delivery of and securing end user applications using Intune, Config Manager, Jamf Pro and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Experience designing and implementing security controls to meet standards set forth in cybersecurity frameworks, such as the Australian Signals Directorate Essential Eight.
