So, if you want to be part of a values led organisation, that is a leader in the insurance industry with a track record of making a real difference and continuously taking steps toward a sustainable future for our people, customers, communities, and our planet…read on!Let's create a brighter future together, let's make a differenceReporting to the Liability Claims Team Leader, the Senior Claims Advisor will play a key role in managing and resolving complex liability claims across the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) region.Your focus will be on delivering exceptional claims service, ensuring accurate and timely claim resolution while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for both Zurich and our customers.You will also be responsible for the following:Claims ManagementHandle a portfolio of complex liability claims, including public liability, product liability, and professional indemnity claims.Investigate, assess, and determine liability and quantum in accordance with Zurich's policies and procedures.Drive effective claim resolutions through proactive negotiation, mediation, and settlement strategies.Customer ExperienceProvide timely and professional communication to claimants, brokers, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.Deliver superior service by managing customer expectations and maintaining Zurich's reputation for excellence.Technical ExpertiseProvide technical advice and support to the broader claims team and other business units as required.Collaborate with external legal counsel, investigators, and other experts to achieve favorable claim outcomes.Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes impacting liability claims management in ANZ.Compliance and ReportingEnsure compliance with Zurich's claims management policies, as well as legal and regulatory obligations.Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of claims activities and outcomes.Prepare reports and analysis on claims trends and performance metrics for senior management.Collaboration and LeadershipMentor and support junior claims advisors, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capability.Contribute to the continuous improvement of Zurich's claims processes and systems.Develop professional working relationships with Liability Claims and Underwriting teams, Complex Crew Lead, Head of Technical Claims, and Head of Claims as required.Important to your success - let's grow togetherIn order to be successful you will have some of the following:Tertiary qualification in Law, Insurance, Business, or a related field (desirable).Professional certifications (e.g., ANZIIF, CIP) (desirable).In-depth knowledge of liability insurance, including legal principles, policy interpretation, and claims resolution strategies.Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to liability insurance in ANZ.Strong background in managing large and complex claims portfolios.Proven examples of a customer-centric approach to delivering claims services and exceeding expectations.Experience in mentoring and coaching Claims Advisors.Belong.
