You will also provide mentoring, coaching and training to the wider team and support the business to continually grow and evolve.You will be responsible for the following:Managing complex claims in accordance with all procedures outlined in the Claims ManualProven experience mentoring and training claims advisorsConduct timely investigations in regard to indemnity, liability and quantum.Partner with customers and supply partners to proactively manage a portfolio of claimsFinalise claims in a timely mannerDevelop professional working relationships with Liability Claims and Underwriting teams, Complex Crew Lead, Head of Technical Claims and Head of Claims as requiredImportant to your success - let's grow togetherIn order to be successful you will have some of the following:Good technical claims knowledge and the ability to effectively manage technical claims autonomously.Aware of the relevant State based legislation and associated guidelines.Thorough understanding of the Insurance Code of Practice and Insurance Contracts Act.Thorough understanding of the relevant Privacy Act.Ability to direct solicitors/counsel in case managementDevelop superior negotiation strategies on all files appropriate for resolutionAutonomous attendance at all external meetings / conferences / views / court appearances etcBelong.
