You will apply a high level of specialised knowledge to independently manage a portfolio of claims including facilitating appointments and assessment and settlement of treatment, care and support damages in accordance with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to the National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency), Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Nominal Defendant (ND) (collectively referred to as the Motor Accident Insurance Schemes Queensland or MAIS-Q).

PLEASE NOTE: two roles are available with fixed term temporary and permanent arrangements possible. Your role
Lead and proactively manage a portfolio of files, including catastrophic injuries, in accordance with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to achieve cost effective and timely claim resolutions, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Provide high level specialised advice in relation to the Scheme legislation, policy and specific claim matters.
Deliver and undertake full reviews of individual cases at lifetime participant stage to put forward recommendations for acceptance or rejection with close consideration to the legislative requirements. This includes new assessments, liaising with external parties, support planners and managers.
Support and assess the eligibility of interim and/or lifetime applications that includes thorough and collaborative decision making and assessment of all aspect of a participant's medical evidence for interim eligibility.
