Due to continuous growth, we are looking to expand our team.We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Civil Project Engineer on a full-time basis in our Perth metro area.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESBe an enabler – an overriding principle with this role is to be an enabler to the business.
It is crucial to get to know and work positively with the team, build relationships with the operations and project management teams, and to assist with issues.Experience in civil engineering practices with proven site project delivery.Be methodical in application of general principles of Project Management in particular:Tracking - progress against planned, time and cost.Scope & Change Management.Cost Management – i.e., performance index.Staff and Contractor Management.Ensure the projects comply with the HSEQ documented Management System.Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.Organising and directing site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities.Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control.Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.Temporary works design coordination.Project planning.Supporting construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activities.Investigate areas of Non-Conformance be it product quality, client compliance or incident.POSITION SPECIFICKey to Schedule Development – tasks in logical work packages, procurement, materials, resources.Co-Ordination of Operations.Develop and Manage workflows.Staff Management – support staff morale and discipline.Ensure resource availability - plan and maintain documentation relating to resources on projects.Ensure Client commitments/deadlines are met.Provide status reports, resolve or escalate delays promptly.Ensure staff produce work in a timely manner, to facilitate planning & forecasting.Participate in weekly staff meetings.General staff & operations management tasks.Prepare invoices - monthly or as project dictated.Local Administration Management/Co-Ordination.Local Sales Management/ Co-Ordination.Local Client Service Management/Co-Ordination.How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Civil Project Engineer?How many years of project management experience do you have?How many years' experience do you have with project planning and scheduling?How many years' experience do you have with forecasting for businesses?How many years of people management experience do you have?Do you have customer service experience?
