About the CompanyJoin a global mining operator while focusing on critical infrastructure in central Queensland, and make a significant impact on their non-mining infrastructure projects. This organisation is a household name and you will be greeted with world-class systems and processes. The project team is responsible for effectively installing and managing critical infrastructure that services all neighbouring mine sites. The projects are steady and consistent, ranging from $1m - $50m. The projects vary from water pumping stations, service lines, pipelines, marine facilities, and associated camp services (anything to keep the mines safely operating as they continue to expand).
The RoleAs a Project Engineer, you'll assist the Project Manager in scoping and delivering projects from initiation to closeout. You will focus on ensuring compliance with project management frameworks, engineering quality, and change management systems. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the business.
Location & RosterThis position is based near Moranbah, Central Queensland, with flexible travel options including FIFO ex Brisbane and DIDO from surrounding areas. You'll commence on site on Monday and return home on Thursday, to either WFH or the office on Friday.
ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Manager with proposals, business cases, and project scopes.Oversee engineering designs for compliance with relevant standards.Engage with councils, authorities, landholders, and mining companies.Participate in contract meetings and assist with contractor onboarding and management.Support the Project Manager with financial reporting and schedule compliance.Contribute to quality assurance and project safety.Qualifications & Abilities5+ years of engineering experience in construction, mining, or related fields.Degree in Civil Engineering.Experience with large-scale civil and piping projects.Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project.Contract management and commercial experience in project delivery.Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Willingness to travel to the site as required.Ability to work autonomously and self-manage – drive projects through the phases on your own initiative.Anticipate what is needed two steps ahead, then engage key stakeholders to obtain their input as needed.Why JoinHave the freedom and accountability to drive projects from start to finish.Stamp your name on critical projects while working with one of the largest mining companies in the world.Have the stability of ongoing work and a variety of projects to keep you engaged.Be paid what you are worth and have the option of PAYG or ABN (please note ABN must comply with site requirements).Fortnightly pay cycle and have the best finance team available to support you anytime, anywhere.Contact InformationIf you are interested in learning more, please reach out to James Tidswell via ****** for a confidential discussion.
