Job Opportunity: Senior Civil Engineer – Greenfield Energy Projects
Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Adelaide (or any of our regional assets).

This role will contribute to AGL's renewable energy vision, working across a wide range of flexible and firming renewable projects, in all project phases, from concept design to construction handover. You'll be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, compliance, commercial viability, and the smooth delivery of key civil engineering scopes across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the technical aspects of civil packages, including tender evaluations, technical negotiations, and contractor management.Oversee the timely progression of civil and structural designs for greenfield energy projects, ensuring smooth integration with other engineering scopes.Conduct civil/structural inspections and quality checks to meet project standards and requirements.Manage contractors, consultants, and OEMs to ensure the successful execution of engineering tasks and adherence to legislative standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, energy hubs, asset services, and operations, to drive project success.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (essential).Eligible for Engineers Australia membership (essential); CPEng certification is highly preferred.Excellent understanding of Australian civil engineering standards and industry construction practices.Expertise in areas like geotechnical engineering, earthworks, drainage, road and foundation design, and concrete structures.Experience managing complex technical and commercial aspects of large-scale civil projects.Solid project management and construction process knowledge.Self-driven, able to work independently, and manage multiple priorities.Why Join AGL?This is your opportunity to be part of the renewable energy transformation, leading impactful projects that will drive Australia's energy future.
