About the Role We now have a rare opportunity to join the team as a Senior Civil Engineer.
Your responsibilities will include:
Mentoring: Mentor a team of civil engineers within our Victorian Civil Projects department. Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues within Projects and other divisions of the organisation for knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement, and building of the Intrax brand. Civil Engineering Design: Civil engineering design for building lead projects (commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and multi-storey residential developments), and public domain infrastructure and building projects such as sports fields and council facilities. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with team members, clients, drafters, contractors, Council and other authorities, architects, and builders. Coordination: Coordinate with the team to establish workflow, supporting the organisation's culture of being a learning organisation. Client Engagement: Opportunities to work closely with management teams and start building, maintaining, and fostering strong relationships with clients, supporting business development activities to support our existing client and promote new business. Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of technically accurate, cost-effective, and optimum designs in accordance with Australian standards. Innovation: Identify and seek opportunities to lead and contribute to innovative and technical improvement projects for the business at large. Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections as part of construction administration tasks such as site progress inspections, resolving on-site conditions and responding to contractor RFIs. To be Successful in This Role You Will Have: 5+ years of professional experience in Civil engineering projects and a minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in engineering. Civil Design experience: roads, stormwater drainage, onsite stormwater detention, pump systems, car parking, access driveways/manoeuvring areas (geometry and pavement levels) for larger building-led developments to authority and client requirements. Excellent skills in 3D design software (Intrax software includes Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, OSD4W, DRAINS, and AutoCAD) for earthworks, road, drainage, sewer, and pavement level design. Understanding of stormwater design to WSUD guidelines, including MUSIC modelling. Knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads, VicRoads, and other relevant authority standards for road and drainage design. Minor flood assessments (desirable). Ability to manage, train and mentor engineers in the civil team. Registered Building Practitioner (VIC) and/or NER is desired.
