The Role
In response to the massive investment in roads in QLD, BG&E's Civil Transport team is growing. We are looking for a technically experienced, team-oriented and client-focused Senior to Associate Level Civil Engineer to help build and grow our Civil Engineering (Roads & Highway) capability.
What to expect day to day :
Apply principles and professional knowledge to plan and implement projects to the benefit of BG&E and our clients. Represent BG&E and instill confidence in our clients and stakeholders. Build and foster internal and external relationships that lead to repeat work. Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills. Mentor less-experienced engineers to help develop their skills and knowledge. Identify and manage technical and commercial risks. Take ownership of projects including management of resources and budgets, delegation of responsibilities and quality of deliverables. Engage in business operations and understand the impact of work practices on project outcomes. Be passionate about learning and seek feedback for professional development. About you
Hold a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or higher recognized by Engineers Australia. Have strong knowledge of Austroads, VicRoads and Australian Standards relevant to road and highway infrastructure design. Hold or be eligible for RPEQ. Have a robust understanding of civil and road engineering principles and road safety considerations. Demonstrate understanding of design and drafting software packages such as AutoCAD, Microstation, 12d and/or OpenRoads. Have a minimum 7 to 12+ years of experience in road and highway infrastructure projects. Have a strong understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
