The Role We are currently seeking to appoint a Civil Designer to join our Melbourne Team.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Civil Designer will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in all facets of tailings storage facilities and other earth structures.
The role will suit an experienced Civil 3D Designer who has worked on civil projects for mining clients.
Some of the key responsibilities may include:
3D Civil design of embankments and other earth structures, civil structures and roads.Coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources.Undertake material take-off and develop schedules of Quantities.Produce design drawings and documentation in accordance with established company design and drafting standards.Working with and providing support to other members of the group as well as mentoring of junior staff, as required.Please note this role is based in our Melbourne Office therefore relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate.
Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering or associated qualification in civil design, and will possess:
7 to 10 years' relevant experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally, ideally in a consulting environment.Demonstrated ability to undertake engineering design.Demonstrated AutoCAD and Civil 3D capability in drafting and detailing civil projects within a consulting environment.Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.Excellent communication and reporting skills.What We Offer Knight Piésold offer excellent remuneration packages and a competitive range of benefits including:
