Joining our Design and Drafting Team. As an experienced Civil Designer, you will be an integral part of a team of highly skilled specialists who collectively perform the following:Support our Transport, Water, Local Government, Development and Waste Management teams for all infrastructure design solutions relating to: Roads and highways, transport structures, rail and aviation;Water and wastewater infrastructure projects; Landfill and waste management infrastructure; Local roads, stormwater design, municipal and urban development projects.Apply proficiency in modelling and drafting using AutoCAD, 12d and/or Civil 3DWork collaboratively with Engineers to design and draft for a wide range of infrastructure projectsAbout youTogether with your exemplary teamwork, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills; to be successful in this role you will ideally possess some or all of the following:Minimum 5 years experience utilising 12D and/or Civil3D and AutoCADMinimum 5 years design experience in general civil design in one or more of the following areas; Water and Wastewater infrastructure, Road Reconstruction, Road Design, Public Realm Design, Land Division Design and Stormwater DesignExperience in Water and Sewerage design, including pipelines & pump stationsWorking knowledge of Austroads and relevant Australian StandardsExperience in design for State Government road authoritesExperience in landfill design, bulk earthworks design or tailings designStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputsThe position represents opportunity for someone with experience in a similar position who is keen to grow their expertise and develop their career even further by working on a variety of projects in a leading consultancy firm.This is the ideal position for someone who is driven to master their craft in modelling and design software, is committed to providing quality design solutions , and is excited about joining a high performing team who are recognised for technical excellence, finding creative and progressive ways to deliver value for our clients, and putting a values based human touch into developing solutions that have wide reaching and critical impact.Job locationThis role is based at Tonkin's state-of-the-art head office in Adelaide's CBD.
