UGL is currently looking for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to become a key member of the Power Utilities team based in Sydney. You will be responsible for providing detailed designs, developing specifications, and interfacing with management on design issues.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Provide Earthworks, Roads, stormwater drainage, erosion & sedimentation control, and underground services design to support substations, solar farms, transmission lines, and other tenders and projects in the utilities division.
Fulfill the role of Designer and Checker within the discipline sections.
Plan and conduct professional engineering works.
Attend site, supplier, or customer premises to ascertain or confirm project requirements.
Carry out detailed engineering calculations.
Develop detailed designs in sketch and drawing format.
Develop technical specification documents and reports.
Liaise with third-party geotechnical engineers or other specialist service providers.
About You
A relevant four-year engineering degree acceptable for membership to Engineers Australia.
At least 10 years post-graduate experience relevant to Civil design and underground services.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or 12-D) and Drains; proficiency in AutoCAD is highly regarded.
Strong oral & written English language communication skills.
Computer and MS Office proficiency.
