You will be responsible for providing detailed designs, developing specifications, and interfacing with management on design issues.
About the Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to: Providing earthworks, roads, stormwater drainage, erosion & sedimentation control, and underground services design to support substations, solar farms, transmission lines, and other tenders and projects in the utilities division.
Fulfilling the role of Designer and Checker within the discipline sections.
Planning and conducting professional engineering works.
Attending site, supplier, or customer premises to ascertain or confirm project requirements.
Carrying out detailed engineering calculations.
Developing detailed designs in sketch and drawing format.
Developing technical specification documents and reports.
Liaising with third-party geotechnical engineers or other specialist service providers.
About You A relevant four-year engineering degree acceptable for membership to Engineers Australia.
At least 10 years post-graduate experience relevant to civil design and underground services.
Proficiency in Auto CAD Civil 3 D (or 12-D) and Drains.
Proficiency in Auto CAD is highly regarded.
Strong oral and written English language communication skills.
Computer and MS Office proficiency.
