The Role:
As the Senior Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the overall category strategy across multiple channels, including retail FMCG, foodservice, hospitality, hospitals, and aged care. You will oversee a diverse portfolio encompassing fruit, tomatoes, ambient meals, frozen meals, and beverages. Your strategic vision and leadership will drive channel expansion, pricing strategies, and growth across key customers.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with sales and profit objectives.Manage the full category portfolio, driving innovation and overseeing the product lifecycle from ideation to execution.Perform category data analysis to extract insights and guide strategic decisions.Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to drive category growth.Develop pricing strategies and manage an innovation pipeline to capture market share.Navigate limited or ambiguous data environments to make informed commercial decisions. What You Bring: Solid experience in the FMCG or foodservice industry with expertise in category management.Exceptional data analysis skills and the ability to derive actionable insights.Strong strategic thinking and reporting capabilities with a big-picture perspective.Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.Proven experience with range reviews for major retailers such as Coles and Woolworths - ideally you will also have experience working in food service.Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and lead initiatives.Proactive and adaptable approach in navigating dynamic market conditions.
