The Program: We are expanding our Navigator program! The Navigator Program is an intensive, targeted, education support service where Case Managers work in collaboration with schools, young people, families, and external stakeholders to find ways to achieve educational goals.
In 2023-24, 847 young people were supported to re-engage with their education through the Navigator program.

About the role: You will be part of a brand new, multi-disciplinary team, comprising of a Team Leader, Intake and Assessment Workers, Senior Case Managers and Specialist Workers.
You will primarily be working with children who have disconnected from school. Many of these young people have complex barriers to educational engagement and have not responded to school-based engagement interventions. Young people may experience barriers such as mental health, disability and neurodiversity as well as trauma.
Your role is to work with young people, their families and support networks to address these issues underlying disengagement and help them re-engage with their education and achieve their goals.
Make your mark: Extensive case management experience, drawing from a variety of appropriate frameworks and theoretical approaches. Bring your area of expertise to a diverse team be that mental health, disability, education or family services. Assist disengaged learners to reconnect back into education and learning. Successfully build rapport with children and young people, who present with a range of complex challenges such as mental health, disability, neurodiversity, trauma. Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and liaison skills. Ability to work with government and non-government organisations, community groups and clients' families/networks. Knowledge of school environments and educational policy. Make it work: Inspiring leadership supporting individual agency and autonomy. A salary at SCHADS level 6 which equates to around $106,637 plus super. Flexible through the increments up to 6.3. Positions to commence December 2024/January 2025 by negotiation. Ongoing positions.
