We strongly encourage applicants from key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQA+ people, and people living with disabilities.The Role:Managing and conducting Permanent Pacemaker follow up clinics in the North and Northwest Regions for patients with implanted pacemakers and defibrillators.Working collaboratively with individual Specialists and other members of the multidisciplinary team in planning, delivery and evaluation of individual cases.Contribute specialty knowledge to the review of practice policy and procedures and in evaluating patient outcomes.On-call work is required as a standard part of this role.A comprehensive knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology and experience in identifying normal and abnormal features present on electrocardiographs, or willingness to learn.Experience in identifying the learning needs of patients including their carers in relation to cardiac disease and the ability to develop, deliver and evaluate educational activities to meet service delivery.Sound technical knowledge and understanding of a wide range of pacemaker and AICD systems, pacemaker programmers and pacing system analysers, or willingness to learn.Demonstrate advanced communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with medical / paramedical staff.In possession of, or working towards the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRB) certificate or equivalent.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Team:The LGH cardiology team encompasses the CCU, Cath Lab, non-invasive cardiology, CIED management, and cardiac rehabilitation.
