The Organisation The Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), funded exclusively by philanthropy, is a network of communications professionals in the fields of climate, energy, and nature.
A collaborative network in over 20 countries, across 6 continents, GSCC covers themes including climate science and impacts, food and nature, finance and economics, energy, transport, industry, and multilateral climate processes.
With a focus on media debate and public discourse at the global level, and in major economies across Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas, GSCC supports partners in a variety of sectors and geographies via unbranded strategic communications strategies to support the goals encapsulated by the Paris Agreement.

This will involve identifying potentially game-changing partners and helping transform their impact through developing communications strategies, helping run campaigns, organising training, guiding with recruitment, and funder applications, etc.
Engaging audience insights experts and digital specialists where appropriate, the program has a goal of building communications and digital knowledge and expertise among partners, activists, and other actors at the regional, national, and international level.
Collaborating with your colleagues, campaigners, and digital experts, you will develop an understanding of which communications and digital gaps exist within target partners or groups of partners that must be progressed with strategic interventions to achieve objectives.
Skills Required You are a senior international issues-based campaigner from an international NGO, commercial sector communications professional, or from the world of politics, but critically you think ambitiously, strategically, and creatively about where partner empowerment can make the biggest impact internationally.
Your campaign strategy expertise has resulted in impactful campaigns in multiple countries, ideally including Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
You can identify, across a range of organisations, industries, sectors, and diverse geographies, the benefits of best practice campaigning via targeted communications and digital media.
In addition to possessing an ability to manage projects to completion, you will be able to draw on a range of multifaceted approaches including co-campaigning, shadowing, training, or granting and can expand the toolbox with innovative solutions.
