About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join an EPCM client of ours on a major Renewable Project. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring a diverse range of materials and equipment essential for the project, ensuring competitiveness and efficiency in the supply chain operations. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in project procurement strategy development and implementation, providing invaluable insights to support our corporate and project objectives.
Role Responsibilities: Develop and implement project procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals.Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.Delegate tasks and prioritise objectives within the team.Ensure procurement processes comply with policies and best practices.Lead project teams to achieve milestones.Mentor junior staff for professional growth. Key Criteria Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.Extensive experience in procurement, with a focus on both engineered and non-engineered items.Demonstrated ability to lead procurement projects from inception to completion.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex supply chain issues and propose effective solutions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in relevant procurement systems, processes, and tools.Prior experience in a leadership role, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
