About the role and team

We have an opportunity for a Senior Business Development & Marketing Advisor to join our national Business Development, Marketing & Communications team in Perth.
This role will be responsible for working with Partners on the business development, marketing and communications strategy for the Perth market and the national Property & Projects team.
Travel to other offices across Australia from time to time may be required.

Key responsibilities

Advising the Perth Office Partner in Charge on strategic firm brand promotion, business development and marketing.

Working with partners and senior lawyers on strategic firm and personal brand promotion, BD, marketing and practice development strategies.

Identifying business development opportunities for the Perth market and Property & Projects.

Working with the Energy sector leads on relevant clients and initiatives on the Hall & Wilcox Client and Market Programs as well as the cross-practice industry groups.

Advising and supporting initiatives for key WA based, national Property & Projects and energy sector key clients.

Working with the Bids & Pursuits team on firm and commercial tender submissions.

Leading a range of other opportunistic bids, such as proposals and capability statements.

Directory and award submissions.

Working with the Communications team to identify and action external profiling opportunities.

Leading relevant business and industry association relationships, including sponsorships.

Working with the Events team on client, sector and national firm events.

Skills and experience

7+ years' experience in a marketing and/or business development position (professional services ideal).

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key firm stakeholders.

Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Team player and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
