Senior Business Development Manager - Remote EnergyThe Senior Business Development Manager (BD Manager) will be responsible for driving the growth of new business and expansion of current services across the portfolio. This role involves identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, leading projects, and negotiating and converting organic opportunities with new and existing customers.An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a market-leading organization within the remote energy sector. This is a rare opportunity to drive major remote energy projects focusing on the Mining sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business growth, expanding existing services across the portfolio, and forging strategic partnerships.What you'll do:As a Senior Business Development Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving our client's business growth. You will be responsible for identifying profitable opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and leading projects that contribute to the expansion of their existing portfolio. You will play an integral part of their future growth strategy and be a key figure in their commercial growth team. You will have your finger on the pulse in the WA Mining sector and consistently analyze market trends and identify future projects. Key responsibilities include:Implementing strategic plans to develop energy projects in target market segments.Effectively managing new projects, acquisitions, or joint ventures from project inception through to contract execution/final investment decision.Undertaking economic and financial investigations to support investment cases.Preparing and presenting investment cases that align with investment criteria to Executives.What you bring:The ideal candidate for the Senior Business Development Manager role brings extensive experience in building and maintaining business relationships at a senior level across the WA Mining sector. You will ideally have the following background:Strong technical understanding of remote energy and power generation.Bid construction, tendering, and auction procedures, including acquisitions.Complex contract negotiation, administration, and management.A working knowledge of the Australian energy and mining sectors.Experience with long sales cycles, identifying opportunities and taking your client on the journey.Demonstrable track record managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).Consistently striving to ensure the best possible outcome.What sets this company apart:Our client is a tier 1 operator in the energy market with a global presence and deep roots in Western Australia.
