Senior Business Development Manager (Legal Vertical)

This position can be based in Convera's Sydney or Melbourne office, with lots of flexibility to work from home.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Law Firms, we will be looking for you to approach and liaise with business prospects in the Legal vertical throughout APAC on behalf of Convera to attract and maintain new clients.
You will influence everyone from a partner of a law firm to the Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer within the Legal sector.
You will consult with them on their payment solutions, currency requirements and risk profile whilst progressing towards securing sustainable, profitable trading relationships.
The Senior Business Development Manager role is focused on driving revenue through bringing new customers to the organization.
This is a Strategic Sales role which encompasses all aspects of the sales process from target and qualify, through to implementation.
Key responsibilities include:

Hunt specifically within the Legal space across the APAC region, mainly focusing on IP practices, Immigration Firms, M&A & cross border payments.
Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition.
Financially astute with knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
Possess a deep understanding of consultative sales principles, be adept at executive corporate level negotiations, and building long-term client relationships.
Proactively identify and approach new prospects to sell Payment Products.
Create and execute a portfolio strategy to ensure overachievement of targets.
Proactively manage an effective pipeline, identify, and prioritize opportunities that support goal achievement.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment, to influence, collaborate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Understand client's opportunities, threats and risks to affect an efficient handover to account management.

Required key skills:

You must have experience within the FX/Payments industry in order to be considered for this role - essential.
Prior experience in the legal industry preferred but not essential.
Successful track record in sales.
Enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed.
Accountable for personal revenue target.
Excellent presentation skills.
Extensive negotiation experience and commercial acumen.
Able to build and maintain relationships and influence where necessary.
Experience in introducing and onboarding new customers and relationships.
Proven ability to attract, engage and communicate value propositions to C-suite executives.
Ability to work within a target driven environment.
Ability to identify opportunities and close deals through a "win/win" outcome.
You must have existing, ongoing working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
