Senior Business Development Manager

Our client is an established SME non-bank lending business specialising in secured commercial lending. The role has come about due to planned expansion and heavy investment into a new product. This is a senior position responsible for taking a new product to market, developing a sales strategy & process, and developing existing and new broker partnerships.Responsibilities:Business development; lead generation, develop broker & aggregator networksBook meetings, run discovery sessions, deliver value propositionFollow up on leads, objection handle and close out dealsIdentify opportunities to up and cross-sellMaintain a healthy sales pipeline of current and future businessInbound & outbound sales depending on pipeline statusInbound; respond to incoming interest from partners or prospectsRequirements:Proven commercial business development experienceNon-bank lending industry experienceCommercial lending & secured loans experience (essential)Experience across the full sales cycle from prospecting to close of saleExperience with business development tools (Apollo, Lusha, Mailchimp, etc)Experience working with channel partners to generate leads & referralsNon-technical requirements:Proactive sales mentality, you aren't afraid of BD/outbound salesMethodical & strategic BD/sales approachFocused on long term relationshipsUnderstand what needs to be done based on pipeline statusCustomer-focused approachStrong communication skillsHigh commitment to quality (no shortcuts)Team player, support and guide peersCritical thinkerBenefits:Join an industry market leaderProduct with strong value propositionEstablish your sales methodology and take full ownershipWork with modern technology, products and servicesJoin a talented team with a flat structurePositive and supportive team cultureHealthy sales culture with no egosExcellent work-life balance and flexibility (hybrid 3 days/week in office)Genuine career progression to leadershipOn offer is a competitive salary ($160,000 to $200,000 + super + uncapped commissions) with the opportunity to progress to leadership as the business grows.
