The role has come about due to planned expansion and heavy investment into a new product.
This is senior position responsible for taking a new product to market, developing a sales strategy & process, and developing existing and new broker partnerships.
Responsibilities: Business development; lead generation, develop broker & aggregator networks Book meetings, run discovery sessions, deliver value proposition Follow up on leads, objection handle and close out deals Identify opportunities to up and cross-sell Maintain healthy sales pipeline of current and future business Inbound & outbound sales depending on pipeline status Inbound; respond to incoming interest from partners or prospects Requirements: Proven commercial business development experience Non-bank lending industry experience Commercial lending & secured loans experience (essential) Experience across the full sales cycle from prospecting to close of sale Experience with business development tools (Apollo, Lusha, Mailchimp, etc) Experience working with channel partners to generate leads & referrals Non-technical requirements: Proactive sales mentality, you aren't afraid of BD/outbound sales Methodical & strategic BD/sales approach Focused on long term relationships Understand what needs to be done based on pipeline status Customer-focused approach Strong communication skills High commitment to quality (no shortcuts) Team player, support and guide peers Critical thinker Benefits: Join an industry market leader Product with strong value proposition Establish your sales methodology and take full ownership Work with modern technology, products and services Join a talented team with flat structure Positive and supportive team culture Healthy sales culture with no egos Excellent work-life balance and flexibility (hybrid 3 days/week in office) Genuine career progression to leadership On offer is a competitive salary ($160,000 to $200,000 + super + uncapped commissions) with the opportunity to progress to leadership as the business grows.
