Senior Business Development Manager, BanksWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Clients & Sectors APAC, you will be responsible for the Banks Sector BD Strategy and Client Relationship Management for a small number of bank sector clients.
Key Responsibilities: Bank Sector Alongside the Bank Sector Lead Partners (SLPs), lead the Firm's Bank Sector business development strategy - providing both tactical and strategic guidance to the GBSG (Global Bank Sector Group).Personally maintain a small number of bank sector clients, working together with Client Relationship Partners (CRPs).Overarching responsibility for the performance of the Bank Sector client portfolio as a whole, working closely with client teams including other Client Relationship Managers.
Regular review around the make-up of the sector's priority clients.Keep up to date with current and emerging issues and trends impacting the Banking sector through strong industry and client relationships, including relationships with relevant industry associations.Facilitate connectivity, collaboration and involvement of the firm's practice groups in the Sector.Assist in facilitating major pursuits.In conjunction with the Brand & Marketing team, and the Communications team, develop marketing and profile-raising initiatives including thought leadership and intensive annual campaigns.Provide regular reporting on Sector performance to the Firm's various leadership bodies including the Council and Executive.Manage the Bank Sector BD budgets.Client Relationship Management Work with relevant CRPs to develop and execute on account management strategies for nominated clients.Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers within nominated clients.Develop an in-depth understanding of the nominated clients and their businesses.
Facilitate the sharing of that information with relevant partners and stakeholders across the HSF network.Coach, and otherwise assist, partners and others within the firm in the delivery of marketing, networking, negotiation and pursuit activities.To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor's degree (or similar) preferred.7-10 years' experience in business development, preferably within a professional services environment.Knowledge of the banking/financial services sector will be highly regarded.Demonstrated experience in building strategic relationships, managing clients and pursuing new business.Strong project management skills as well as experience in managing major pursuits and bids.Experience in influencing at an executive/leadership level within a professional services and/or large corporate environment.Experience working across multiple jurisdictions will be highly regarded.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.High level of commercial acumen.What you can expect from us: We're a world leading international law firm with a global team of over 5,000 professionals.
