Senior Business Development Consultant
Reporting to: Head of Business Development Location: Birmingham Salary: up to 43,000 base + 20% quarterly bonus Type: 37 hours per week Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Birmingham.
Job Summary
Drive employer engagement growth by leading a competitive, innovative sales team. Develop sales strategies, enhance the organization's profile, and build sustainable networks. Deliver clear messaging on training services, respond to employer needs, and support new opportunities. Generate sales leads, manage CRM effectively, and provide accurate sales reports.
Main Duties
Sell a variety of products and services, including Apprenticeships and CMI qualifications, to meet regional growth targets in the Black Country, Birmingham, and West Midlands. Act as an ambassador for the Agency and Skills Division, conducting market research, generating new business, and staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities. Build and manage a strong social media profile to promote the College and Skills Division, fostering stakeholder relations. Travel as needed across the West Midlands Region and beyond for business development activities. Identify and act on sales opportunities by responding to leads and inquiries, managing cold calling, and arranging appointments with new employers. Develop and maintain relationships with large employers and networks, utilizing the CRM system to expand the network and manage the sales pipeline. Achieve sales targets, ensure high levels of service for customers, and contribute to curriculum development and strategic planning by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders. Requirements
Proven success in meeting sales targets Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities, particularly within apprenticeships Knowledge of further education and apprenticeships History of selling Apprenticeships across various sectors, with a strong understanding of education and recruitment settings Experience in creating and executing sales plans, setting KPIs, and reporting on sales activities and performance Full license and car to travel Able to pass a DBS check No previous convictions #J-18808-Ljbffr
