About the role We are seeking a Senior Business & Data Analyst to play a crucial role in uplifting organisational data capabilities, delivering in-depth data analysis and developing fit-for-purpose reporting products that provide the VGSO insights into business performance, key risks and trends.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics, the role will have the opportunity to work in an evolving environment and contribute to strategic decision making through the development of optimised, reliable and reusable dashboards and reports that meet various business needs. Central to the role will be extracting and interpreting complex datasets, converting findings into actionable insight, identifying opportunities for process improvements (including automation) and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
The primary objectives of the role will be to:
Engage with internal and external stakeholders on current and emerging data requestsEstablish and maintain transparent, reliable and timely data using business intelligence / data analysis processes and toolsDevelop high level, impactful and easily understood reports / dashboards using data visualisation techniquesContribute to projects related to system implementations, customisations and upgrades Skills and experience Experience in data visualisation and dashboard reporting, including demonstrated competency using tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BIStrong analytical, methodical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to use initiative and identify systems and processes requiring improvementAbility to interpret complex data / information and relay this to diverse audiences, with varying levels of understanding of data and analytical conceptsAbility to work collaboratively and liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to build strong networks and partnerships with the agility to respond to changing needs and priorities.
