We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Strategic Projects Delivery and Change team in Sydney.
This position will be responsible for driving analysis and facilitating advice and business recommendations that support decision making, planning and delivery across the Strategic Project Portfolio.
Typically, the position will support multiple projects at any given time.
This position is a crucial link between business functions and project delivery stakeholders, and is responsible for ensuring that business needs are understood and delivered in alignment with project timelines.
What you'll do:Project Discovery, Planning & Delivery Support:Support the discovery phase by gathering relevant data, validating project scope, and analyzing the current state to establish a solid foundation for the project.Manage documentation and tracking activities, including workshop minutes, updates to RAIDD logs, stakeholder follow-ups, and inputs for status reports and steering committee updates.Business Analysis:Develop and execute an end-to-end business requirements plan, working closely with stakeholders to define, document, and iterate requirements, securing stakeholder sign-off.Facilitate workshops, evaluate solution options, and document key artefacts, such as project decisions, change requests, and feasibility analyses, to support high-quality project outcomes.Change Management:Conduct comprehensive business impact assessments by comparing 'as-is' and 'to-be' scenarios, ensuring thorough understanding of change implications.Collaborate on business readiness activities, including the creation or updates of cross-functional policies, processes, and procedures, and contribute to change management materials like FAQs and process guides.Bulk Migration Project:Plan and coordinate both internal and third-party migration discovery workshops, capturing outcomes, tracking actions, and managing risks and issues within RAIDD logs.Develop and document the Current State/Target State Migration Matrix, facilitate workshops for cut-over planning, and manage stakeholder approvals for stage-gate reviews.Project Services Delivery & Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance business analysis capabilities, create best-practice tools and templates, and maintain the Project Business Analyst Document Library.Mentor junior team members, stay informed about industry trends, and promote the value of project services by driving continuous improvement initiatives.What you'll need to succeed:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology or a related area of study5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in wealth management industry, preferably with wrap platform experienceIn-depth knowledge of pension, superannuation and investment domainsExperience with re-platforming migration projects such as Successor Fund Transfer (SFT), Intra-Fund Transfers (IFT) and/or change of administrator/ custodian migrationsStrong Microsoft Office applications skills in Visio, PowerPoint, Word and ExcelPrior experience on large scale, complex transformation projectsDemonstrated strong communication, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skillsExperience in gathering stakeholder requirements and completing the relevant business analysis to inform project planning and delivery.Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical and business reports and proposals for all levels of stakeholders
