The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.

NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Perth Office on an ongoing (permanent) basis.

The Senior Business Analyst will join our Finance and Procurement Team to deliver the governance, improvement, efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy of NOPSEMA's financial and procurement systems and processes.

As an experienced Senior Business Analyst, you should possess demonstrated skills and experience in: Working within a regulatory environment with experience in ensuring compliance and conformance with the following: Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act Cost accounting, procurement procedures, management reporting, financial reporting and financial modelling. Managing, maintaining and operating a financial management information system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with a high level of initiative and organisational skills to meet deadlines. Possess excellent attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders. You will be a strong team player, with the ability to take initiative to resolve issues and flexibility to shift tasks and manage priorities to deliver on operational needs in a fast paced environment. The key duties of the position include
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role's core responsibilities encompass:
Maintenance of an accurate, reliable, efficient and effective ERP system, including the development of an ERP roadmap. Ensure systems and associated processes support and comply with legislative and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Process Owners and stakeholders to ensure the appropriate balance is achieved such that efficiency and effectiveness is delivered across all aspects of systems solution, process and training/capability. Delivery of systems training. Application of continuous improvement tools and techniques to identify and improve all aspects of an end-to-end process including process, systems and training/capability.
