Information Technology at BlueScope have embarked on an exciting enterprise technology transformation, from aging legacy systems to an agile technology platform Microsoft Dynamics 365 that will continue to support our business and customers now, and for the future.The role of the Business Analyst is to support business needs by serving as a liaison between IT and the business, providing clear information to create improved business insight. In this key role you will engage with business and project stakeholders to elicit, analyse, translate, document and communicate business requirements.This role can be based in Wollongong NSW, Sydney NSW or Mount Waverley VIC.What Will You Do?Working closely with business SME's and project stakeholders you will elicit, review, interpret and respond to business requirements.To achieve this, you will:Work with the business stakeholders, IT Product Owners, Architects, and solution delivery teams to elicit, analyse, translate, document and communicate business requirements.Analyse existing processes and systems and determine if changes can be accommodatedServe as a conduit between the business and the software development teamsWork with Data Engineers to model and present data for the purposes of visualisation via Self-Service AnalyticsProactively communicate and collaborate with the business to analyse information needs and functional requirements to deliver the artefacts as neededDevelop and assist in the presentation of business cases.More About YouWith your demonstrable experience of business analysis you will also have:Extensive experience of IT business analysisProven analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application, non-functional and operational requirementsExcellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter expertsAbility to create business cases with accurate cost and effort estimationsDemonstrated experience of modelling e.g. unified modelling languageIn depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles e.g. Agile, WaterfallExperience with visualisation tools such as Power BI.Why BlueScopeAs BlueScope continues to go from strength to strength, a career with us provides you with the opportunity to grow and be rewarded.
