About the role We are looking for a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join our transformative Payments and Collections Management (PacMan) team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in reshaping systems and processes, focusing on improving collections, payments, and credit management solutions.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing high-value and highly aged consumer debt portfolios while ensuring positive customer engagement and outcomes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll take a hands-on approach to resolving complex accounts, ensuring optimal debt management strategies, and contributing to AGL's vision for a modern, customer-focused credit process.
What you will be doing: Manage complex customer debt portfolios, taking ownership of account outcomes and driving effective resolutions.Perform detailed root cause analysis and risk assessments, balancing commercial and customer objectives.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve account discrepancies, cash lockups, and disputes.Monitor and optimise collections processes to reduce overdue accounts and minimise bad debts.Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, including trend analysis and operational insights, to guide decision-making.Support the development and implementation of innovative debt management strategies, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance processes.What we would like to see you bring: Proven experience in credit management, collections, or a related field, ideally within the energy or utilities sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assess risks and identify tailored solutions.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.Experience with SAP, SQL, and other related tools is highly desirable.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options including hybrid work.Discounts on energy, telcos and solar plans.Participate in Energise - our reward & recognition program.Access 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary carer.Access to an additional week of recharge leave per year.Play an active role in our diversity & inclusion initiatives.Novated leasing and Electric Vehicle subscriptions.Access to study assistance, AGL's share purchase plan and insurance deals.*Benefits may change over time and vary based on role type and location.
