About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Business Analyst in this newly created role, to act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring that technology solutions align with the strategic objectives of the organisation. Our Head Office, located directly across from Southern Cross Station, offers a vibrant environment featuring a balcony, BBQ area, collaborative and quiet spaces, and plenty of natural light. This position will be offered as a 12 month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend.

Your key responsibilities will include: Business Process Analysis: Leading the evaluation and analysis of current business processes and system requirements to identify areas for improvement or redesign, and design future state processes. Your initial focus will be towards Payroll and HCM application development and implementation.
Solution Design and Implementation: Developing detailed functional specifications for IT solutions, collaborating with the development and architecture team to ensure accurate implementation, and overseeing the testing and deployment phases to guarantee quality outcomes.
Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary liaison between business units and the IT department, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that project objectives meet business needs.
Project Management: Supporting the project manager by informing project timelines, resources, and budgets, applying best practices in project management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Strategic Planning: Contributing to the IT strategic planning process, identifying emerging technology trends that can provide competitive advantage and proposing new projects aligned with business goals.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Extensive experience in a business analyst role within an IT environment, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. It would be highly desirable that you have been involved in a large-scale Payroll and HCM implementations (Workday, Success Factors, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM).
Extensive experience (5-10 years) in business process analysis, documenting both AS IS and TO BE processes.
Proficiency in using tools like Visio and BPMN to create process flow diagrams.
Extensive experience in gathering and documenting business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with both business and technical stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into clear, actionable processes.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field would be highly desirable but not essential.
Certification in Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) would be highly desirable but not essential.
Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) in SAP Signavio, Unified Modelling Language (UML), and other business process mapping and modelling framework is highly desirable.
