The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate the development, planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of learning and knowledge management activities to Data Solutions to ensure staff can undertake their role efficiently, effectively and accurately.

The essential requirements for this role are:
Demonstrated leadership, management and change management skills to develop and maintain a high performing team.Expert and in-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server, Data Warehouse and MS Office suite to support the collection, analysis and reporting on large volumes of payroll data.Proven ability to apply knowledge of advanced Excel and utilisation of VBA to manage data collection quality.Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and evaluate system enhancements consistent with the principles of continuous improvement.High level written and oral communication skills including liaison, consultation and stakeholder engagement with a broad range of clients in a complex and diverse environment.Key Responsibilities include: Support Payroll Transactional Services, Corporate Enterprise Solutions in the achievement of key objectives through the provision of sound critical analysis in the development of standard end-to-end payroll processes.Maintain extensive knowledge of awards, legislation, policies and procedures relevant to payroll to ensure appropriate knowledge and expertise to undertake complex and systemic analysis within Corporate Enterprise Solutions.Acquire and maintain extensive working knowledge of Queensland Health's payroll systems to enable thorough investigation of data issues and improve the payroll processes and the quality of payroll data and reporting.Qualifications, registrations and other requirements: Experience in SQL coding (highly desirable).Knowledge and experience with MS-Office products (especially MS-Excel including VBA coding and macros) (highly desirable).Relevant experience in payroll, rostering, finance and/or workforce management services (highly desirable).Process analysis experience (desirable).Project Management training such as Prince2 (desirable).While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
