About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst to join our BAE Systems Maritime Digital-Data-Cyber team, based at Osborne Naval Shipyard South Australia, reporting to the BA Practice Lead.

You will be responsible for the clarification of business or customer needs through the investigation, analysis, review and documentation of requirements to ensure that delivered solutions are appropriate and aligned to the business or customer needs.
Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with business, engineering, and IT teams to identify business challenges and opportunities, and analyse current processes to pinpoint areas for improvement Develop business analysis work plans including stakeholder identification, engagement/ workshop planning, technique selection and outcome definition Responsible for the requirements management process through eliciting, prioritising and influencing business or customer requirements including management for traceability, change and reuse Analyse captured requirements and manage the process to determine and justify valid innovative solutions that are feasible, cost effective, meet business goals and objectives, and deliver value Undertake activities associated with the development, testing, delivery and transition of a solution for business acceptance Manage stakeholders through effective expectation and prioritisation management, and mapping of requirements to stakeholder needs Build positive working relationships to ensure alignment on approach and solution delivery against the roadmaps and digital direction of the program Provide guidance and advice on current technology initiatives and business analysis techniques Proactively seek ways to improve the way the team delivers services and capability to the business or customer.
About YOU Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis and effective communication are considered essential A proven track-record of being involved in IT projects is considered desirable Expertise MoSCoW prioritisation method is considered desirable Relevant tertiary qualification/ certification in business analysis or process improvements is considered desirable Hold defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance Enthusiasm for working in a shipbuilding and defence manufacturing environment, engaging with operational shipyard stakeholders, and contributing to the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
