Senior Business Analyst (Geospatial / Data Visualisation) Contract

7 + 12 + 12 month contract – November Start $110 – $140 per hour (inc-Super) – negotiable Baseline Security Clearance Required Canberra address – Belconnen Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, are seeking the experience of multiple Senior Business Analyst(s) for a long 7 + 12 + 12 month contract, based in Belconnen, ACT.
Duties of the Senior Business Analyst Provide strategic planning, mapping and modelling development.
Lead a gap-analysis to determine whether any of the existing capabilities held within the Department can meet the requirements for a future visualisation capability.
Developing the solution blueprint for a future visualisation capability.
Identifying and conveying (orally and in writing) the objective of a business need to the appropriate stakeholder level – enterprise, program, operational and project levels.
With business stakeholders, prioritising each business requirement according to its merits of enhancing business efficacy.
In consultation with business and ICT stakeholders, developing innovative solutions to identified business challenges.
Skills and Experience Required Qualifications and/or proven experience in business requirement development and business process design.
High level stakeholder management skills to actively build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Minimum 5 years continuous experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
Experience working in an Agile environment (desired).
Experience with data visualisation (desired).
Experience with geospatial datasets and platforms (eg ArcGIS) (desired).
